Bosko Video is proud to announce the release of our next volume of our

historic retrospective of the Van Beuren Studio.  These animated classics

were made in 1933 and 1934, and were adapted from a famous comic strip by

Otto Soglow.  The animation style is art-decoish, and most of these films

haven't been available in almost 60 years.  A few of them were shown on

t.v. in the 1950's, but several of the titles were changed.  Bosko Video

   has restored these titles.

As is our custom, all of these tapes are duplicated in SP speed in Hi-Fi.

The films are also slightly window-boxed to avoid overscan picture loss.

These films are invaluable to colleges, universities and film students.

With the ever-growing interest in animation and animation art collecting,

this series of rare cartoon classics is in demand by animation lovers

   of all types.

                                   REVIEW

Van Beuren thought that audiences would warm up faster to an already

established comic strip character, so he signed on to produce a cartoon

series based on Otto Soglow's strip, Little King.  These cartoons turned

out to be some of the best shorts that the studio ever produced.  They

exhibited an innocence and childlike charm that was unique among animated

cartoons of the time.  The original versions of these films were believed

to have been lost, but Bosko Video has scoured the country to compile a

definitive collection of these little-known cartoons, restoring them to

their original theatrical format and titles.  This generous selection

offers rare insights into the history of animation by gathering together

all of the Sentinal Louey (another Soglow strip) and Little King cartoons

in chronological order.  While other cartoon tapes are poorly transferred

from scratchy prints, Bosko Video assembles the cleanest and most complete

prints in existence and transfers them with the same meticulous care used

by the major studios.  The result is a phenomenal collection of cartoons

that are just as much fun today as they were sixty years ago.  These

cartoons are too good to be forgotten, so pop this tape in your VCR, sit

back and have "A Royal Good Time!"
