                                   REVIEWS

Hot on the heels of the laser disc collection comes an even better VHS

version of the 17 Superman titles.  These prints were taken from the best

available masters and the quality really shows.  "Terror On The Midway"

is complete and unedited, unlike the laserdisc version.  If you happen to

own one of the old, faded public domain tapes of this series, it is almost

startling to compare the quality of the new prints on these volumes.  This

is one of those cases where a VHS version outranks the laserdisc.  In my

opinion, this is the best and only Superman collection a fan should own.

                     Matthew Hasson - ANIMATO! MAGAZINE

Now, all 17 episodes are being rereleased, and they are beautiful.  The

Fleischer's animation is stunning.  Four episodes were propaganda pieces

for World War II...Fifty years later it still ranks as some of the best

animation ever produced.  Highly recommended for video collections.

Keith De Candido - LIBRARY JOURNAL

Thanks to animation specialists Bosko Video, all of these shorts can be

seen as they should be - on two beautiful, window-boxed volumes.

                     G. Michael Dobbs - VIDEO WATCHDOG

This set is a high-quality transfer from 35mm originals: care has been

taken to master these ultra-classics with black border surround, so that

you see the entire image without the usual 12 percent picture loss due to

video overscan.     David Hutchison - STARLOG MAGAZINE

                         "The best I've ever seen!"

Jim Hambrick - CURRATOR, SUPERMAN MUSEUM

Bosko Video has released several interesting cartoon cassettes:

Private Snafu, Vols 1 and 2, and the Max Fleischer Superman cartoons,

taken from superior-quality prints.  If you're interested in Snafu, or

want a better-looking batch of Superman cartoons than you've been able to

find in your local video store, contact Bosko Video.
